As part of WWT’s 70 anniversary, a fundraising appeal was launched to highlight the unique WWT heritage and to raise funds for a new living wetland theatre, duck decoy and visitor centre upgrades.
The appeal was based around Sir Peter Scott, the founder of WWT and his original 1946 vision to transform the way people experience wetlands and wildlife.
We developed a timeline concept, highlighting the heritage of the wetlands, interspersed with Peter Scott’s original illustrations. A secondary colour palette utilised just for this campaign enhanced the creative and elevated it above their standard direct mail campaigns.
The Direct mail target of £70,000 was smashed with over £80,000 raised at the last count. It was WWT’s most successful domestic appeal for a decade.
